Have you even been somewhere so magical it seemed like you were on a foreign planet or in a fantasy land?

This trip took us back to the Cairngorms National Park to the area of Glen Doll Forrest to hike from Glen Clova to Corrie Fee. A Glen is a valley and a corrie is a valley formed by glacial erosion. When you arrive at the Glen Doll car park, you're already treated to beautiful views of the White Water river. You've given the option of 5 color coded hiking trails. Our trail took us 5 miles into the forest, uphill, along the White Water and Fee Burn rivers.

The forest itself is a pleasant walk but is nothing compared to what comes next. Take a look for yourself:

The Corrie Fee takes your breath away with it's beauty. The sun was shining, it was windy, and the entire valley had a stunning purple glow. At the far end of the valley lies the top of the corrie and a huge waterfall.

We decided to hike up to the waterfall which was an arduous journey for us out of shape people! The path up was steep and rocky with narrow steps and ledges but we did it! There wasn’t a soul around so we had the whole valley to ourselves! How this place was so empty was beyond me, considering it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

Finally, we made it to the top, with a gushing waterfall to our backs and this glorious valley view. Absolutely stunning. The waterfall is fed from the Fee Burn river that twists and turns through the valley and runs almost all the way back to the car park. If you ever find yourself in Scotland, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend taking a day trip here. You definitely will not forget it.

I apologize that all the photos in the gallery are out of order, something messed up the order when I was importing and I'm too lazy to fix it :) Please click on any of the photos below to see all the full size images and videos in the album!
