Thankfully, we didn't catch COVID on our way to the UK so with a negative day 5 test result in hand, we were finally allowed out into the city of London!
The minute those results came in, Greg and I threw our shoes on and practically RAN out the door. Since our results came in at like 9:30PM, we jumped at the opportunity to do some late night sight seeing! We caught gorgeous views of Parliament, the London Eye, and Westminster Abbey! Thankfully the iPhone 12 takes GREAT night shots!

After taking the early part of the next day to get some stuff done, we ventured out of our flat and took a cab over to Buckingham Palace! The beauty of COVID is that we were practically the only ones there! After unsuccessfully saying Hi to Her Majesty (I knocked but she didn't answer, bummer), we took a evening stroll around Green Park. There’s a super fun art installation of elephants there right now highlighting how humans can better protect the planet’s biodiversity. It was absolutely stunning!
Afterwards we headed over to St. James‘s Park where we got up close and personal with some huge birds and I made friends with a squirrel. The scenery here is just stunning and again, with COVID keeping tourists away, just quiet and so peaceful.
